Cleveland Cavaliers stormed into the NBA Eastern Conference Finals with a dominant 125-94 victory over the top-seeded Detroit Pistons in Game 7 on Sunday.
Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 26 points, while Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley and Sam Merrill also scored over 20 points in a commanding team performance. Cleveland took control early, building a huge first-half lead and never allowing Detroit a way back into the contest. The Cavaliers’ aggressive defense and accurate shooting overwhelmed the Pistons, who struggled throughout the game in front of their home fans at Little Caesars Arena.
The win secured Cleveland’s first conference finals appearance since 2018, where they will now face the New York Knicks.
