Aarya Dharmchand Kumar is currently seen as Vyom Sapotdaar in the TV show Tees Ke Paar Jab Mila Pyaar . This time, the actor has stepped away from his usual positive characters and is seen in a completely different avatar.
Opening up about his layered new role, Aarya says, "My character's name is Vyom Sapotdaar. Actress Ananya Khare plays my mother. I am the only son, little lost in mischievous activities at present and hidden dark pasts too. Only my mother, whom I refer to as Akkasahib, knows my dark secrets. She loves me very much and wants to see me become as the King of the Sapotdaars Sugar empire."
The show is based on an intense battle for power within a family. Speaking about his character, Aarya shared, “My chacha is currently the head of the family. He has two sons, and naturally, he wants them to take over. So my mother and I become part of this power game to fulfil our own motives. In a way, I’m playing the villain.”
On taking up a negative role, the actor has a clear take. "Negative characters often drive the story forward. They usually get the most impactful and dramatic moments. As an actor, you can experiment with your voice, body language, styling, and unique mannerisms. There’s also less pressure to constantly appear as the perfect good guy. But earlier, I have carried stories as a hero too. I believe an actor should be ready to play any role, because every character comes with its own importance and challenge."
Aarya also shared why he was selective post his last show 'Jhanak'. "After Jhanak I was avoiding a lot of work just to get the right one, and I liked this role. I believe this is one of the best I have done so far — multi-layered, complex character, strong and dominating too."
