Emergency services were called to the car park of a Tesco branch in Catford after a man was stabbed. A man in his 50s suffered stab wounds outside the Tesco Superstore on Thomas' Lane in the afternoon of Friday, May 15.
Police officers were deployed to the area alongside paramedics and an air ambulance as the Metropolitan Police received reports of a stabbing after a fight. The medical experts assisted the man, before he was taken to hospital.
The man suffered injuries believed to be not life-changing, the Met Police said in a statement released on Sunday, May 17, MyLondon reports.
Officers are yet to make any arrests in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing, the force added.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "At around 5.50pm, police received reports of a stabbing following a fight in the car park of a supermarket in Thomas' Lane, Catford. Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.
"One man in his 50s was found at the scene with stab wounds and was transferred to hospital. Following assessment, his injuries have been found to be non-life changing. There have been no arrests at this stage."
Witnesses are urged to come forward to help with the ongoing investigation.
