Delhi:Before the conclusion of the league stage of IPL 2026, a big news has come out from Pakistan. Actually, according to Geo News, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has received a big invitation. He has been invited to watch the board meeting of the International Cricket Council to be held in Ahmedabad at the end of this month and the final match of IPL 2026.

Mohsin Naqvi received invitation to come to Ahmedabad?

According to the report of an international cricket news website, the International Cricket Association i.e. ICC is going to organize a round of meetings. This will include meetings of the Chief Executive Committee and Board, in which the future of the World Test Championship will be discussed once again.

According to the report, the Chief Executive Committee meeting will be held virtually on May 21. After this, a meeting will be held in Ahmedabad on 30th and 31st May in the presence of all the board members. The special thing is that the grand finale of IPL 2026 is also to be played on May 31 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Naqvi will visit India after the orders of Pakistani government

Normally, PCB Chief Naqvi would have been expected to attend this meeting himself, but in view of the ongoing strained relations between the governments of India and Pakistan and the mutual rift between the two cricket boards, now big question marks have been raised on his visit.

According to the report, ‘Naqvi has been invited to attend both the ICC Board meeting to be held in Ahmedabad at the end of this month and the final match of IPL, but he will not attend it of his own free will. Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif will decide whether Naqvi will visit India to attend the board meeting or not.

Let us tell you that this round of ICC quarterly meetings was earlier to be held in Doha city of Qatar in March-April, but due to the ongoing tension in the Middle East, the venue of the meeting had to be changed. Now India is hosting these meetings.
