Jodhpur: A special program was organized today in Jodhpur, the cultural and historical city of Rajasthan, where the country’s Defense Minister Shri Rajnath Singh unveiled the statue of former Chief Minister and former Vice President of Rajasthan, Revered Bhairon Singh Shekhawat ‘Babosa’. Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma was also present on this occasion. A large number of public representatives, social workers and common citizens participated in the program.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said on this occasion that the life of Bhairon Singh Shekhawat was a wonderful example of simplicity, honesty, public service and patriotism. He said that Babosa always tried to bring the light of development to the last person of the society and made politics a medium of service. The Chief Minister said that his pure life still inspires the new generation.
Bhajanlal Sharma said that Bhairon Singh Shekhawat made his own identity not only in the politics of Rajasthan but also in the politics of the entire country. He gave top priority to the interests of the poor, farmers, laborers and common people. The Chief Minister said that Babosa’s personality was simple as well as visionary, due to which he holds a special place in the hearts of the people even today.
Addressing the program, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also described Bhairon Singh Shekhawat as a great personality of Indian politics. He said that on the strength of his struggle, hard work and public service, Babosa reached the post of Vice President, one of the highest constitutional responsibilities of the country. His life is a source of inspiration for every public representative and youth.
The Chief Minister said that this statue installed on the sacred ground of Jodhpur will remind the coming generations of the ideals, patriotism and spirit of public service of Bhairon Singh Shekhawat. He said that Babosa always worked for strengthening democratic values and upliftment of weaker sections of the society.
On this occasion, Union Culture and Tourism Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, State President Shri Madan Rathod, various public representatives, administrative officers and a large number of general public were present. The atmosphere of the program appeared filled with patriotism and reverence.
In the end, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the Rajasthan government will continue to work for the development and public welfare of the state following the ideals of Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.
