The price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) used in many vehicles has also increased. Now this gas has become expensive by Rs 2 per kg. Before this, the price of diesel and petrol has been increased by about Rs 3 per liter. Recently, inflation figures have also come which show that inflation has almost doubled in the month of April as compared to March. This was the situation when the prices of gas and petrol were stable. In such a situation, after the increase in the prices of diesel, petrol and CNG, it is feared that the inflation rate may increase further.

Before this increase, the price of one kg CNG in Delhi was Rs 77.09 and now it has increased to Rs 79.09. It is important to know here that the auto rickshaws running in Delhi and most of the cab service vehicles run on CNG only. Apart from electric buses, Delhi Transport Corporation has a large number of CNG running buses. This means that now public transport is also likely to become expensive.

India also imports CNG

Let us tell you that 50 to 60 percent of the CNG required in India comes from other countries i.e. it is imported. Its supply was also disrupted for the last few months but adequate stock has been kept in India. Due to CNG being cheaper than diesel and petrol, people install CNG kits in their private and commercial vehicles and drive on CNG only.

Congress has cornered the Modi government on the increase in the prices of diesel, petrol and CNG and has written, “Inflation Man” Modi has again turned hunter on the public today. Petrol and diesel were made costlier by Rs 3 each. At the same time, the price of CNG was also increased by Rs 2. Elections over – Modi’s recovery begins.
