Delta Goodrem is representing Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest, where she'll be hoping to take home the title with her song Eclipse.

It's a different type of performace for the singer-songwriter, who signed her first recording contract at 15 and has become known for her piano-led pop rock style.

The Australian star, 41, has now been in the public eye for over 20 years, with her career including music, television and stage roles.

As she prepares to take to the Eurovision stage during the second semi-final of the competition on Friday (May 15), which will be broadcast by the BBC, we have a look inside Delta's life and career.

Delta burst onto the scene with the release of her 2003 album Innocent Eyes, which reached number one in Australia.

She has since released several more albums and more than 40 singles, making her one of Australia's most prolific artists.

The star is also known for her acting roles - she starred as Nina Tucker in Neighbours from 2002 to 2005 before reprising the role in recent years and she was alos in comedy drama House Husbands.

In 2023 she also got her break on the big screen, when she starred alongside Joshua Sasse is romantic comedy Love Is In The Air.

She has also appeared on stage, playing Grizabella in Cats, and was a coach on singing talent shoe The Voice.

The singer was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in July 2003, months after releasing her debut album.

She told the Daily Mail last year: "It changed the trajectory of my life completely. The whole country was sitting outside my front door watching me and my family go through this thing the best we could.

"I knew everything was going to be very different. How do you all of a sudden go from planes, trains, and automobiles to this being your life?"

Delta underwent radiotherapy and chemotherapy and made a full recovery.

Delta is now married to fellow musician Matthew Copley but she previously had a well-documented romance with Westlife's Brian McFadden.

They pair met when they worked together on the 2005 track Almost Here and they later fell for each other and started dating. They stayed together for several years and got engaged, but ended up calling time on their relationship in 2011.

The pair said in a statement at the time: "Delta Goodrem and Brian McFadden regretfully announce that they are no longer engaged, and after much consideration, have mutually decided to end their relationship.

"This decision has been made with a lot of soul searching from both parties with the realisation that they have grown apart. They leave the partnership with respect for one and other, wishing each other success and happiness for the future."

The Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will air on the BBC on May 16
