The 2026 FIFA World Cup final is set to make history with its first-ever Super Bowl-style half-time show, featuring global music icons Madonna, Shakira and K-pop sensation BTS.
The grand finale of the tournament will take place on July 19 in New Jerseybringing together football fans and music lovers from around the world. The 2026 FIFA World Cup is being jointly hosted by United States, Canada and Mexico.
According to reports, the much-awaited half-time spectacle will run for around 11 minutes and promises a blend of music, culture and global entertainment never before seen at a FIFA World Cup final. FIFA is aiming to create a worldwide entertainment event similar to the NFL Super Bowl, which is famous for its star-studded performances.
Adding to the excitement, Shakira is preparing to release the official World Cup anthem titled Dai Dai featuring Nigerian music star Burna Boy. The singer already holds a special place in FIFA history after delivering the iconic anthem Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) during the 2010 World Cup.
Madonna’s inclusion has further elevated the buzz around the event. Widely known as the “Queen of Pop,” the legendary artist is also preparing to release her upcoming album Confessions II in July. Earlier this year, she surprised fans with a memorable performance alongside Sabrina Carpenter at Coachella.
Meanwhile, BTS continues its highly anticipated comeback after completing mandatory military service in South Korea. The globally loved group is currently preparing for a massive world tour, making their World Cup appearance one of the biggest entertainment moments of 2026.
The half-time event is reportedly being curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay. The performance will also support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise funds for children’s education worldwide.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino previously described the show as a “historic moment” for world football. With music superstars, global audiences and football’s biggest stage coming together, the 2026 FIFA World Cup final is expected to become one of the most-watched live events in history.
