Angela Scanlon has opened up about her life with her self-confessed 'most stubborn' husband.
The Irish TV presenter - currently co-hosting the BBC's Eurovision Song Contest coverage - cut her teeth as a stylist and journalist before landing presenting roles on her local television channels. She subsequently joined BBC's The One Show as a reporter and stepped up as one of the lead presenters while Alex Jones was away on maternity leave.
Since making her mark, she has fronted her own BBC Radio 2 show, hosted BBC's Your Home Made Perfect, taken part as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, and helmed The Apprentice spin-off series.
But what lies beyond her professional life? Here we take a closer look at her marriage and family...
Angela, 42, hails originally from County Meath and now calls London home, alongside her husband Roy Horgan, whom she married in 2014 reports The Mirror.
While Angela regularly treats her followers to glimpses of her family life on her official Instagram account, her husband prefers to shun the spotlight and rarely features in any photographs.
According to a piece in Evoke, Roy, who originates from Co Cork, serves as CEO of SES-imagotag plc for the UK and Ireland.
Marking their four-year anniversary, the presenter shared a photograph from their wedding day, captioning it: "Four years ago today, I married this absolute nugget of a human under a tree with all our favourite people heckling. The kindest, smartest, most stubborn man I know. The yin to my yang. The steak to my tofu (or something)... My [world emoji]."
While Roy is seldom photographed, Angela is also recognised for sharing amusing videos on her Instagram, including a video series entitled: 'Things my husband hates but I love and am not getting rid of'.
In one of her clips, Angela models a glittery shawl and coordinating blue skirt. "It's a midi," explains an enthusiastic Angela, "but weirdly flirty... this little puppy's out to party!"
In February 2018, the couple welcomed their eldest daughter, Ruby Ellen. They subsequently welcomed a second daughter called Marnie Fae in February 2022.
At the time of Marnie's birth, Angela posted the sweetest update on Instagram writing: "Marnie Fae Horgan 11.2.22 [sparkle emoji] Chapped lips and chapped nips can only mean one thing... Our little woman has arrived!! We are besotted."
Angela, who has previously discussed her 15-year struggle with eating disorders anorexia and bulimia, has revealed how motherhood has enhanced her mental and physical wellbeing.
"Before I had kids, my approach was very much that my body was to be preened, presented and punished. It was almost somewhat separate from me," she said in a previous interview with The Mirror.
"But I think having children changed how I viewed my body and I became more compassionate, more appreciative and more in awe of what it does every single day. I became more gentle in my approach - my body was to be cared for and appreciated rather than punished or insulted."
During her show Ask Me Anything, Angela made a surprising discovery - she shares a distant family connection with actor and comedian Stephen Mangan.
Episodes star Stephen was appearing on the television programme when Angela said: "So I heard, like, whispers that maybe we were related. Then I thought, you know, my dad's from Mayo. Maybe it was just one of those, 'Ah, he's on telly, so are you' and you're both from Mayo, kind of..."
She then read aloud a note, telling Stephen: "So this message is from my dad's Auntie Katie's daughter. 'Mary Mangan,' she says, 'Mine and Phelim - that's my dad's grandmother - was a sister to Michael Mangan'.
"My great grandfather!" Stephen exclaimed. "Your great-grandfather?" asked Angela, looking stunned. "So that makes us?
"Third cousins once removed!" Stephen announced.
