This incident happened on Monday night in Rani Bagh area of ​​Delhi. The victim works in a factory in Mangolpuri and lives in a slum in Pitampura.

Delhi Police said that the bus in which this incident took place has been seized. According to officials, the investigation of the case is still going on and every angle is being investigated.

According to news agency IANS, on May 11, the woman was returning home after work as usual, when a sleeper bus stopped at Saraswati Vihar bus stop. The woman spoke to a man standing at the door of the bus to ask about the time, after which she was allegedly forcefully pulled inside the bus. Police said that after this the accused took the bus to Nangloi, where the woman was allegedly gang-raped.

According to the police, the victim is married and has three children. After his medical examination, a complaint was registered and the accused were taken into custody. Further investigation is going on in the matter.

The incident is reminiscent of the 2012 Delhi bus gangrape case, popularly known as the Nirbhaya case. On the night of 16-17 December, a 23-year-old paramedic student was brutally gang-raped by six people in a moving bus in South Delhi. Later they threw him on the road. She died at Singapore's Mount Elizabeth Hospital on 29 December due to serious injuries.
