Lucknow, May 14 – The final rites for Pratik Yadav, the younger son of Samajwadi Party (SP) founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and the half-brother of SP president Akhilesh Yadav, will take place on Thursday at 11 AM at Baikunth Dham in the capital city of Lucknow.
Aparna Yadav, Pratik's wife and vice-chairperson of the State Women's Commission, shared the news late Wednesday night on social media, expressing deep sorrow. She stated, "It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our beloved Pratik Yadav, the cherished son of the late former Chief Minister Padma Vibhushan Mulayam Singh Yadav. His last rites will be held tomorrow (Thursday) morning at 11 AM at Baikunth Dham (Bhainsakund)."
She also extended a humble request for dignified attendance during this time of grief.
Aparna shared an image of the invitation card for the farewell ceremony in memory of Pratik Yadav. He passed away on Wednesday morning due to complications related to heart and lung issues. Family sources indicated that he was taken to the civil hospital in the capital after falling ill, where he was pronounced dead by the doctors.
Pratik's mother, Sadhana Gupta, was the second wife of former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.
