UPSC CSE 2025 Answer Key: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has made the answer key for the Preliminary Examination (Prelims) of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 available as of May 13. Candidates who took part in the exam can now access the official UPSC website to download the answer key. This release signifies the last time the answer key will be published post-examination; starting in 2026, a provisional answer key will be available right after the Prelims.

The UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination for 2025 was held on May 25, 2025, followed by the Main Examination from August 22 to August 31, 2025. Those who passed the Main Examination were invited for the Interview and Personality Test, conducted between January and April 2026. The final results were announced on March 6, 2026.

**9 Lakh Candidates Participated in UPSC 2025 Prelims**

UPSC data reveals that 937,876 candidates registered for the Civil Services Examination 2025, with 576,793 appearing for the Preliminary Examination. Out of these, 14,161 candidates qualified for the Main Examination, and 2,736 progressed to the Personality Test.

**Recruitment for 958 Positions**

The final selection list includes recommendations for 958 candidates, consisting of 659 men and 299 women. These individuals have been selected for roles in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), along with Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ positions within the Central Services.

**UPSC 2026 Prelims Scheduled for May 24**

The Preliminary Examination for UPSC CSE 2026 is set for May 24, 2026. This year, recruitment will be for over 900 positions. Candidates who achieve scores above the cut-off in the preliminary exam will be eligible for the main examination, which will be descriptive and conducted in August.
