Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) coasted to an easy six-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Raipur. The win has all but guaranteed Bengaluru’s spot in the playoffs, while Kolkata faces a humongous task to get to the final four. Veteran cricketer Manish Pandey left Virat Kohli and bowler Kartik Tyagi stunned when he pulled off one of the best catches of the IPL 2026 season in the RCB vs KKR clash.

Tim David had walked to the crease at the fall of Rajat Patidar’s wicket in the 16th over. The Australian batter went for a ferocious cut shot of Kartik Tyagi’s bowling. Power behind the shot was such that the ball would have sped to the boundary in a jiffy. The 36-year-old Pandey, though, dived to his left and pulled off a one-handed screamer.

Once the catch was completed, there was a stunned silence in the crowd, and even David was left staring in shock. The best reactions came from the bowler and the non-striker (Virat Kohli) after Manish’s incredible grab. Tyagi was seen holding his face in utter disbelief while Virat just had his mouth open, not able to fathom the scene he had just witnessed.

RCB’s star batter comes up with a classy gesture after the game

Once the catch was taken, the cameras panned to India’s former skipper going up to his former teammate. Kohli was seen giving a warm handshake to the veteran star and complimenting him for the amazing grab. That catch to dismiss the Aussie star could be in contention as one of the best catches of the season.

Both Pandey and Kohli share a great rapport with each other and have come through the ranks together. The duo were teammates when India won the Under-19 World Cup under the captaincy of Kohli. Veteran batter from Karnataka had also played a few games for India under King Kohli’s captaincy.

Master of Chases delivers yet another classic

Needing 193 to win the game, Bengaluru lost the wicket of Jacob Bethell early in the chase. Devdutt Padikkal joined forces with his former skipper, and the pair batted with aggression to put pressure on the Kolkata bowlers. Ajinkya Rahane saw his fielders drop two key catches in the first ten overs to change the course of the game.

Given a life early on by Rovman Powellthe batter from Delhi didn’t let the chance go as he scored his ninth century in the IPL. By the end of the game, the 37-year-old was not out on 105 runs, which came off just 60 balls with the help of 11 fours and three sixes. The unbeaten ton also takes the veteran batter to third in the list for the Orange Cap.
