Arvind Kejriwal has targeted the central government over the NEET paper leak issue and has appealed to the youth of the country for a big movement. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Kejriwal said that in India also the youth should create ‘Gen Ji movement’. Giving the example of Nepal and Bangladesh, Kejriwal said that the youth there protested and changed the government. He raised the question whether the youth of India can’t send the ministers and responsible people who leaked the papers to jail? He said that the future of crores of students is being affected by the continuous paper leaks and there is deep anger among the youth. Kejriwal alleged that the government has failed to keep the examination system safe.

Arvind Kejriwal has made serious allegations against the Central and BJP ruled state governments regarding the paper leak cases happening in the country. He claimed that since 2014, there have been 93 paper leak incidents in the country. Kejriwal said that most of the paper leaks have taken place in states like UP, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Gujarat, where BJP is in power. He alleged that the possibility of role of political patronage somewhere in these cases cannot be ruled out.

Referring to the NEET paper leak case, the former Chief Minister said that Rajasthan has also been the center of investigation and the people on whom the needle of suspicion is being pointed are said to be leaders associated with BJP. He also raised questions on the central investigating agency CBI, saying that the agency cannot take effective action against those under whose influence it works. Kejriwal alleged that if there is political patronage or role of leaders behind the paper leak, then the investigating agencies are not able to act independently. He also said that the continuous paper leaks have seriously affected the future of the students and have raised questions on the credibility of the entire examination system.

He said that if the young generation (Gen Z) in Nepal and Bangladesh can change their governments, then the youth of India can also raise their voice against those who leak the papers. Raising the question, Kejriwal said, “I want to ask Gen G directly, will this continue or something has to be done? If Gen G of Nepal and Bangladesh can change the government, then why can’t Gen G of our country send the ministers who leaked the papers to jail?”

He claimed that incidents of paper leaks are happening continuously in the country and this is affecting the future of the students. Appealing to the youth, Kejriwal said that it is the responsibility of the new generation to save the country and change the system. He also said that many leaders of the country send their children to study abroad, while the common youth have to struggle here. He said in an emotional tone that he and the common people live in this country, hence they have to improve the system of the country.

Money is reaching the top, take to the streets

Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the money to this whole “disgusting game” is reaching the highest level of the system and strict action is necessary to stop it. Kejriwal said that when people only talk about “system failure”, they unknowingly shield those who are behind this entire network. He claimed that in such cases, not only the system, but certain people and leaders are responsible. He said, “When papers are being leaked year after year, the money is reaching the top. When you talk about the system, you are protecting the top.”

Kejriwal further said that in such cases it is not enough to just blame the general system, but action should be taken against those directly responsible. He said that the culprits should be sent to jail and there is a need for a strict movement against this. Appealing to the youth, he said that remaining silent on this issue is not a solution and it is necessary to create public pressure to end it. According to him, this problem is not merely administrative but the result of “collusion of those responsible”.
