Actress Mouni Roy is in the headlines these days for her personal life. For some time now, there have been speculations on social media that something is not going well between her and her husband Sooraj Nambiar. The actress posted this amid rumors on Wednesday.

The actress took a serious stance on Wednesday and released a note on Instagram Stories, in which she urged social media users not to spread false news about her personal life. The actress wrote, “It is a humble request to all media houses to please refrain from spreading false news and rumours. Give us some time and privacy. There are real emotions and people behind every story. Please behave with sensitivity and responsibility.”

Let us tell you that the news of rift between Mouni Roy and her husband Sooraj Nambiar intensified when the actress unfollowed her husband from Instagram as well as deleted the pictures posted with him. When the news of their separation intensified on social media, Sooraj had deactivated his Instagram account. At the same time, Mouni’s closest friend Disha Patni had also unfollowed Sooraj even before his social media account was deactivated.

Disha, Sooraj and Mouni used to go to many places together, attend parties and social programs and all three were seen together at Kriti’s sister Nupur Sanon’s wedding.

Mouni Roy married businessman Sooraj Nambiar on 22 January 2022 in Goa after dating for three years. The couple got married following both Malayali and Bengali rituals, which were attended by their close friends and family members. The wedding took place at the Hilton Goa resort in Goa. The marriage was solemnized as per Malayali customs in the morning and as per Bengali customs in the evening.​
