Shahid Kapoor is currently preparing for the release of Cocktail 2. Over the years, Shahid has built a reputation for balancing intense performances with strong comic timing, making him an exciting fit for large-scale entertainers as well.
For quite some time, the actor had reportedly been in discussions with filmmaker Anees Bazmee for a comedy project titled Ram Aur Shyam. However, despite initial buzz surrounding the collaboration, the film never moved forward due to circumstances that were never publicly clarified by the makers.
Now, it appears that Shahid and Bazmee could finally be heading toward their first collaboration through a much bigger franchise film.

According to reports, the director is currently in talks with Shahid Kapoor for the sequel to his cult comedy No Entry. The project has already generated strong curiosity among fans, especially considering the popularity of the original film over the years.
As per a source quoted by Bollywood Hungama, Varun Dhawan has already been finalised as one of the three male leads in the upcoming sequel. “While Varun Dhawan is locked to play one of the three leads, the makers have initiated a conversation with Shahid Kapoor. The actor has heard the basic idea and will soon take the complete narration,” the source revealed.
The source further revealed that if Shahid Kapoor officially comes on board, the film could mark the first-ever collaboration between Shahid and Varun Dhawan, two actors who have been among the most comically prominent performers of the last two decades in Hindi cinema.
According to the insider, the chemistry between their characters is expected to carry a chaotic and playful energy similar to the iconic dynamic shared by Salman Khan and Aamir Khan in the cult comedy Andaz Apna Apna. “It's No Entry but with a twist. The producer Boney Kapoor is trying to take things a notch higher by getting Varun and Shahid together,” the source stated.
The report further suggests that if casting and scheduling fall into place smoothly, No Entry 2 is expected to go on floors towards the end of 2026.
