New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to present the truth about the country’s economic situation before the countrymen. He said that the Prime Minister has appealed to the people to take 7 strict steps like do not go abroad, do not buy foreign products, do not buy gold, do not use petrol-dealer vehicles, use public transport and work from home.
All information should be shared with the country
It is clear from this that the country’s economy is in a very bad condition and is going to get even worse in the coming days. He said that only the middle class is being affected by all these steps. After all, why should the middle class make all the sacrifices? He asked why the government, PM, ministers, industrialists and officers cannot cut their expenses? We are ready to make sacrifices for the sake of the country, but we should not selectively target only the middle class and share all the information with the country.
Use of public transport as much as possible
While holding a press conference with Delhi State President Saurabh Bhardwaj at the party headquarters on Tuesday, Arvind Kejriwal said that the Prime Minister has said that the country is going through a huge economic crisis. For this reason he has appealed to the people of the country to take seven strict steps. First, work from home. Stop buying second gold, buy at least gold. Third, save petrol and diesel, use public transport as much as possible. Fourth, use minimum fertilizers and do natural farming. Fifth: Minimize foreign production and save foreign exchange. Sixth, use cooking oil sparingly. Seventh, stop traveling abroad.
The whole country is in shock at this time
Arvind Kejriwal said that from 1950 till now there have been many times when our country went through different crises. There was war with China and Pakistan. Our country also went through an economic recession. But till date no Prime Minister has ever asked the countrymen to take such drastic steps. Lal Bahadur Shastri ji had also appealed to the people of the country and at one time Indira Gandhi ji had also appealed to the people not to buy gold. But till date no Prime Minister has ever taken seven major steps. At this time the whole country is in shock.
very bad condition of economy
Arvind Kejriwal made three requests to the Prime Minister and said that if the Prime Minister has asked to take such drastic steps then it means that the country’s economy is in a very bad condition. Also, there is a possibility that the condition of the economy will worsen in the future. Therefore, the country wants to know from the Prime Minister where we stand in terms of the economy? All countrymen are patriots.
If I have to make sacrifices I will do that too
We will take even the harshest steps, if we have to endure difficulties and make sacrifices for the country, we will do that too, but let the country know why these steps are being taken? Let the country know where its economy stands today? Merely giving orders will not suffice. This country belongs to all of us 140 crore people.
What is the expected state of the economy?
Arvind Kejriwal requested the Prime Minister to share with the people of the country all the information about the current state of the country’s economy and what is expected to be the state of the economy in the coming few months or a year. Otherwise doubts arise among the people of the country. Different types of rumors are spreading in the country. Today the market of rumors is hot. This is not good for economic confidence.
Appeal to take seven drastic steps
Making another appeal, Arvind Kejriwal said that we all know that this is happening because of the war between Iran and America. The whole world is affected due to the war between Iran and America. But the government of any country has not appealed to its citizens to take seven drastic steps like this. This raises doubts in the minds of the people of the country whether the condition of the economy is worse than the US-Iran war. What circumstances is our country going through? Therefore, Prime Minister Modi should tell the country that the steps which no country has taken, while all the countries are affected. In such a situation, why was there a need for India alone to take such drastic steps? After all, has the situation become so bad?
Government should have made sacrifices
Arvind Kejriwal made a third appeal asking why the entire burden is being put on the middle class. Don’t go abroad, don’t buy foreign products, don’t buy gold, don’t use petrol-dealer vehicles, use public transport and work from home, all these steps are only affecting the middle class. The middle class is very patriotic. If needed, the middle class will go to any extent and do anything for the country, but why only the middle class? First of all, if anyone should have made a sacrifice, it should have been made by the government. The government of the country should cut its expenses. But the country’s government did not make any cut in its expenses.
Modi ji should make an appeal to them also
Arvind Kejriwal said that after the government cuts its expenditure, the Prime Minister and all the ministers should cut down on their own expenditure and consumption. He also did not cut down his expenses. Everyone is roaming around freely, going to foreign countries, using vehicles a lot, and might be buying a lot of gold. Everything is happening. After this, the officers are expected to make some sacrifices. After this there was hope from the very rich people of the country. Some of Modi ji’s friends are also included in these. Modi ji should have made an appeal to them too that Adani ji should also cut down his expenses and other billionaires in the country should also cut down their expenses, but no appeal was made to them. This appeal has been made only to the middle class of the country. This makes me sad.
Only middle class should not be targeted
Arvind Kejriwal said that the middle class is saying that it will sacrifice for the country, but why only us? Why won’t Modi ji, Adani, ministers and officers make sacrifices? The country belongs to everyone. We are ready to make sacrifices for the country, but do not selectively target only the middle class and share all the information with the country.
