Emmerdale fans have been left fearing Dawn Fletcher is about to be murdered in a revenge plot gone wrong.
Dawn (played by Olivia Bromley) and Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) have been together since early last year, when they began having an affair behind Dawn's husband Billy's (Jay Kontzle) back.
The couple, who are now engaged, recently faced a setback when Dawn found out that Joe had filmed Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) killing her evil brother, John (Oliver Farnworth), shortly after the Corriedale crash.
Joe used the footage to blackmail Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) into planting illegal documents at Butler's Farm, resulting in Moira Dingle's (Natalie J Robb) wrongful imprisonment.
This news sparked fury in Dawn, who realised how evil her fiancé is before vowing to get revenge on Joe by stealing his money, despite being pregnant with his baby.
As fans of the soap will know, Olivia Bromley has reportedly been axed from Emmerdale, after playing Dawn Taylor for eight years.
The long-standing character was introduced in 2018 and has been at the heart of some of the ITV soap's biggest storylines. But according to reports, producers have decided to part ways with the actress and the character entirely.
Now, some viewers are certain the characters' exit will come when she is murdered by villainous Joe when he rumbles her revenge plot. Rumours started swirling after ITVX changed its Emmerdale header to a photo of Dawn standing outside of Home Farm, where she lives with Joe.
Taking to Reddit, one viewer pointed out: "Emmerdale changes their ITVX cover after just a week and now Dawn takes center stage."
A second viewer wrote: "I really hope she takes Joe down. Then again, if Joe could escape justice for everything he's done so far, what are the chances for Dawn??"
While another predicted, "It would be her exit arc either way. She either got her money and ran off to the sunset, or it goes terribly wrong, and Joe unleashed Graham on her."
"I really can't shake my gut feeling that it's going to backfire on her and that she's literally unintentionally signed her death warrant on her Wedding Day to Joe, thinking that a lot of secrets, lies, betrayal will come out involving lots of characters after she rejects him at the aisle and one of Joe's many enemies will try to kill him, but she gets caught in the crossfire, he survives, but she dies", explained one person.
On X, another added: "I am very stressed for Dawn right now I was very certain she was gonna run away with all the money on the wedding but it looks like they are planning a different ending #emmerdale."
