Belagavi: Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar has strongly criticised the Central government over the alleged NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) question paper leak, which is the entrance examination for medical education admissions.
Expressing her concern through social media, she said that the central government is playing with the future of lakhs of students. “The future of lakhs of students who studied day and night and appeared for the examination is now uncertain. This is extremely unfortunate and condemnable,” the minister said.
She further stated that the inability to conduct the country’s most important examinations in a transparent manner reflects the administrative inefficiency of the Central government.
The minister also alleged that due to exam irregularities, talented students across the country are being pushed into distress. She said such actions by the government are dampening the dreams of the youth.
Lakshmi Hebbalkar added that the repeated incidents of examination malpractices are affecting the confidence of students and undermining their future opportunities.
