Priyanka Chopra Honored at Gold Gala 2026

    Star of Citadel, Priyanka Chopra, was celebrated among a host of Asian talents at the Gold House's annual gala. This fifth edition showcased a blend of legendary figures like Jet Li and rising stars such as Supriya Ganesh from The Pitt's. Priyanka received the Global Vanguard Honour for her significant contributions to Asian Pacific culture. Other distinguished awardees included Charles Melton, Eileen Gu, Simu Liu, and Revathi Advaithi. During her speech, Priyanka expressed her heartfelt appreciation for her mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra, who attended the event.  

Heartfelt Tribute to Mother Madhu

  In a touching moment before , Priyanka took the stage to honor her mother at the Gold Gala 2026. The ceremony, held at the Music Center in downtown Los Angeles on May 9, was filled with emotion as many awardees recognized their families for their steadfast support. Following Revathi Advaithi's example, Priyanka reflected on her mother and grandmother's emphasis on education and skill development, attributing these values to the women in her lineage.   Complimenting her mother’s beauty, Priyanka stated, "Thank you for being the foundation of who I am, for always being a student of life." Her emotional tribute resonated with many in the audience. Dressed in an elegant white gown made from a 20-year-old Chikankari saree, she captivated the attendees. The gala attracted a notable assembly of Asian Pacific stars, including Esther Yu, Bowen Yang from Wicked, Arden Cho and EJAE from KPop Demon Hunters, Mindy Kaling, and actors from Deli Boys. Jet Li received a standing ovation while accepting his Gold Legend award.

Upcoming Projects for Priyanka Chopra

  Priyanka's latest series,   debuted its second season on May 6. This spy thriller, featuring Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci, will wrap up with this season. She is also set to make her return to Indian cinema in SS Rajamouli's Telugu film Varanasi, co-starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran, which is slated for release in January 2027.   Additionally, Priyanka is set to star alongside Orlando Bloom in the survival thriller Reset, with filming expected to begin later this year. She has also filmed a cameo in Mira Nair's biopic on Amrita Sher-Gil, titled Amri, featuring Tanya Maniktala in the lead role.
