Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launched Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-IV in Sehore. Under the scheme, 963 new roads will be built in Madhya Pradesh at a cost of Rs 1763 crore. With this, 987 habitations will benefit from better road connectivity and rural development.

Bhopal/Sehore. Mohan Yadav launched Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-IV and PM Janman Yojana at Bhairunda in Sehore district on May 10. The program was started by Chief Minister and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan with lighting of the lamp and showering of flowers.

963 roads will be built with Rs 1763 crore, 987 settlements will benefit

Under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-IV, 963 roads of 2117 km long will be constructed in Madhya Pradesh at a cost of more than Rs 1763 crore. With the construction of these roads, 987 habitations of the state will get better road connectivity. This will give new impetus to transportation, education, health and business activities in rural areas.

81 roads will be built in Sehore district at a cost of Rs 165 crore.

Under the scheme, 209 km long 81 roads will be constructed in Sehore district at a cost of Rs 165 crore. 84 settlements of the district will directly benefit from these roads. Better road connectivity will facilitate travel for people in rural areas and strengthen development work.

Addressing the program, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is developing rapidly and changes are visible in every field. He said that today a new phase of development is going on in Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Minister said that due to the efforts of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the state has received a gift of Rs 5 thousand crores. He also said that Madhya Pradesh has received many awards in Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and other schemes.

Awards were also distributed in various categories under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in the program. Madhya Pradesh received many honors for its excellent performance in the field of road construction and maintenance. Madhya Pradesh got first place in Prime Minister Rural Road Construction. So far, 90 thousand 766 kilometer long roads have been built in the state. In this category, Rajasthan stood second and Uttar Pradesh stood third.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan handed over assistance acceptance letter to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan handed over the approval letter of financial assistance of Rs 2055 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. He said that a great yagya of development is going on in Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. Development work is being done continuously in the state and the Central Government is also cooperating in it.

Madhya Pradesh implements schemes and also achieves targets

Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Chandrasekhar Pemmasani said that Madhya Pradesh not only implements the schemes but also achieves their targets. He said that under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana-IV, 2500 kilometers of new roads will be built in the state, which will further strengthen the connectivity of villages and settlements.

Union Minister of State for Rural Development Kamlesh Paswan said that the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana has reduced the distance between villages and cities. Now farmers are able to easily transport their crops to the city markets. He said that pregnant women are getting facility to reach the hospital on time and children are also getting facility to go to school.
