Ladli Behna Yojana beneficiaries in Madhya Pradesh are set to receive another financial installment soon, as the state government has announced the release date for the 36th installment under the popular welfare scheme. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will transfer the amount directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts through a single-click system on May 13, 2026.

The program will be organized in Mungwani village of Gotegaon Assembly constituency in Narsinghpur district, where preparations are already underway at the administrative and political levels. The scheme continues to remain one of the largest women-focused financial assistance programs in Madhya Pradesh.

36th Installment to Be Released From Gotegaon

According to officials, the installment amount will be transferred during a public event scheduled in Gotegaon. The district administration has started reviewing arrangements related to:

  • Security management
  • Traffic control
  • Parking facilities
  • Public gathering arrangements
  • Helipad construction

Local authorities, including administrative officers and police officials, have already inspected the event venue and issued necessary instructions for smooth execution of the program.

Women Will Receive ₹1,500 Every Month

Under the Ladli Behna Yojana, more than 1.25 crore women across Madhya Pradesh are currently receiving monthly financial assistance of ₹1,500.

The scheme was launched to strengthen the financial independence of women and support economically weaker households. Since its launch, the state government has reportedly transferred more than ₹54,000 crore directly into beneficiaries’ accounts.

The government says the initiative aims to improve women’s economic participation and provide direct support for daily household expenses.

Additional Benefit: LPG Cylinder Refill at ₹450

Apart from the monthly financial assistance, eligible women under the scheme are also receiving LPG refill support.

Women covered under:

  • Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana
  • Non-Ujjwala eligible categories

can reportedly get LPG cylinder refills at ₹450.

The state government has already transferred more than ₹11,080 crore as gas refill subsidy support under this initiative. The subsidy aims to reduce household expenses and encourage the use of cleaner cooking fuel among families.

Previous Installment Was Released in Sehore

Before the upcoming 36th installment, the 35th installment of the scheme was transferred during a state-level event held in Ashta, Sehore district.

During that program:

  • More than 1.25 crore women received benefits
  • Over ₹1,836 crore was transferred directly into accounts

The state government described the initiative as part of its continued focus on women’s welfare and financial empowerment.

Government Focus on Women Empowerment

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has repeatedly stated that women empowerment remains one of the top priorities of the Madhya Pradesh government.

According to the government, Madhya Pradesh was among the first states in India to introduce a dedicated gender budget framework aimed at increasing spending on women-centric welfare programs.

Reports suggest that the state’s gender budget allocation has now increased to around ₹32,730 crore. The government claims these initiatives are helping strengthen financial inclusion and social security for women across the state.
