As Saturday Night Live UK gears up for a second series, fans are eager to discover more about where the British show is filmed.
The comedy series, which launched on Sky and Now in March, will broadcast its season 1 finale next week before returning for season 2 sometime between autumn 2026 and early 2027.
The live comedy show has assembled an impressive roster of celebrity guests thus far, with big names such as Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan and Nicola Coughlan stepping up to host. The musical acts have been equally spectacular, with the likes of Wolf Alice, Kasabian and Foo Fighters all taking to the stage.
Led by Lorne Michaels, the original creator of Saturday Night Live in the US, SNL UK broadcasts in front of a live studio audience each week and is produced by UTAS UK and Broadway Video for Sky and NOW.
Two episodes remain of series 1, with Hannah Waddingham set to host this Saturday night (May 9) alongside musical guest Myles Smith, before Ncuti Gatwa takes the helm for SNL UK's finale episode on May 16, with Holly Humberstone performing as musical guest.
Saturday Night Live UK is filmed at the historic Television Centre in West London, reports The Mirror.
The landmark complex in White City formerly housed the BBC, and is also known as BBC Studioworks Television Centre.
The building served as the headquarters of BBC Television from 1960 to 2013 and has since welcomed other broadcasters through its doors.
Currently, SNL UK is based at TC1 (Television Centre 1), a vast studio space shared with well-known programmes such as The Graham Norton Show, Mock the Week, The Chase and The Last Leg.
Office spaces at Television Centre are also home to SNL's team of 20 writers, who spend the week prior to each live weekend show developing and pitching sketch ideas.
The UK roster for SNL features Hammed Animashaun, Ania Magliano, Emma Sidi, Celeste Dring, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, George Fouracres, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, and Paddy Young.
