Chandigarh Noida Flights; Direct flight services from Chandigarh’s Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport to Noida are going to start from July 1. The initiative will further strengthen air connectivity between the entire tri-city region, including Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula, and the Delhi-NCR and western Uttar Pradesh regions. Airline carrier IndiGo has announced that flight operations from Noida International Airport (Jewor Airport) are scheduled to begin on June 15. As part of this expansion, Chandigarh will also be directly connected to Noida Airport.

There will be two daily direct flights between Chandigarh and Noida. This will bring a lot of relief to the passengers who till now had to travel to Noida by bus, taxi or private vehicle after landing at the Delhi airport. The introduction of this new service is expected to save travel time and boost business and employment activities.

The first morning flight will depart from Noida at 6:15 am and reach Chandigarh at 7:20 am. On the return leg, the flight will depart from Chandigarh at 7:40 AM and reach Noida at 8:45 AM. Meanwhile, the second flight will take off from Noida at 6:30 PM and reach Chandigarh at 7:35 PM. For its return journey, the flight will depart from Chandigarh at 7:55 PM and reach Noida at 9:00 PM.

A better alternative to Delhi airport

These new flights will provide Chandigarh travelers with a better alternative to using Delhi airport. Passengers traveling to Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and West Uttar Pradesh in particular will benefit directly from this service. In addition, it is expected to reduce dependence on road transport and relieve traffic congestion.

Noida International Airport: Emerging as the second major aviation hub

Noida International Airport is being developed as the second major aviation hub within the Delhi-NCR region. Currently, IndiGo operates flights from Chandigarh to 16 cities including Amritsar, Dharamshala, Jaipur, Lucknow, Delhi, Goa, Mumbai, Patna, Srinagar, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru. According to the airline, ticket bookings for these new flights will begin soon.
