DC vs KKR: Delhi defeated by Finn Allen’s century, Kolkata won the fourth consecutive match

Delhi. Thanks to the blazing century innings of Finn Allen (100 not out), Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Delhi Capitals by eight wickets with 34 balls remaining in the 51st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Friday. This is the fourth win for Kolkata Knight Riders in 10 matches. With this win, KKR has nine points and have secured seventh place in the points table, surpassing Delhi Capitals.

Finn Allen hit a six off Mukesh Kumar and took the score to 147 runs, with this his century was completed and KKR won the match by eight wickets. Allen completed his century in just 47 balls. Allen hit five fours and 10 sixes in his innings. This is the fastest century from KKR in IPL. Kolkata Knight Riders, chasing the target of 143 runs, lost both their first wickets at the score of 31 runs.

Captain Ajinkya Rahane (13) was unfortunately run out in the third over. In the very next over, Akshar Patel dismissed Angkrish Raghuvanshi (one) and sent him to the pavilion. After this, Cameron Green made an unbeaten partnership of 116 runs for the third wicket with Finn Allen and gave his team victory by eight wickets in 14.2 overs. Cameron Green scored unbeaten 33 runs in 27 balls, hitting two sixes.

Earlier today, Delhi Capitals scored 142 runs for eight wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders on the basis of brilliant innings by Pathum Nissanka (50), Ashutosh Rana (39) and KL Rahul (23). Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and decided to bowl first. Coming to bat for Delhi Capitals, the pair of Pathum Nissanka and KL Rahul made a good start and added 49 runs for the first wicket. Karthik Tyagi ended this partnership by dismissing KL Rahul on the last ball of the fifth over.

Rahul scored 23 runs in 14 balls with the help of four fours. After this, the Kolkata bowlers tightened their grip on the Delhi batsmen. Cameron Green dismissed Nitish Rana (eight) in the eighth over. 10th Sunil Narayan was dismissed by Sameer Rizvi (three). In the 11th over, Anukul Roy dismissed Pathum Nissanka and sent him to the pavilion. Pathum Nissanka scored 50 runs in 29 balls, hitting five fours and three sixes.

On the fifth ball of the same over, Anukul gave the fifth blow to Delhi by bowling Tristan Stubbs (two). Captain Axar Patel became the victim of Vaibhav Arora after scoring 11 runs in 22 balls. Ashutosh Rana was dismissed by Karthik Tyagi in the last over of the innings.

Ashutosh Rana played an innings of 39 runs in 28 balls, hitting three fours and three sixes. In the same over, Mitchell Starc (0) was run out as the eighth wicket. Delhi Capitals scored 142 runs for eight wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Anukul Roy and Karthik Tyagi took two wickets each for Kolkata Knight Riders. Sunil Narayan, Vaibhav Arora and Cameron Green dismissed one batsman each.
