Tezzbuzz Desk- Amidst the ongoing political suspense regarding the formation of the new government in Tamil Nadu, a big controversy has now arisen regarding the letter of support. Vijay’s party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), which emerged as the largest party by winning 108 seats in the assembly elections, is trying to gather majority, but in the meantime, AMMK has heated up the political atmosphere by making serious allegations.
TTV Dinakaran claimed that TVK has sent a fake support letter to the Governor in the name of his party MLA S Kamaraj. He clearly said that AMMK has not given any support to Vijay’s party and his party still stands firmly with NDA. Dhinakaran also announced to file a criminal complaint in this matter. In this connection, Dhinakaran reached the office of the Assistant Police Commissioner of Guindy Range and lodged a formal complaint. Speaking to the media, he said that MLA S Kamaraj is currently present in a resort in Puducherry with newly elected AIADMK MLAs and the reports of supporting TVK are completely misleading.
However, TVK has released a video of MLA S Kamaraj responding to these allegations. In the video, Kamaraj is seen saying that he had voluntarily written the letter in support of TVK with the permission of the AMMK general secretary. After this video surfaced, there has been a new turn in the politics of Tamil Nadu. It is noteworthy that in the recently concluded assembly elections, TVK surprised everyone by winning 108 seats, but it fell 10 seats short of the majority figure. Vijay is continuously busy gathering support from other parties to form the government.
According to sources, the TVK has approached the DMK alliance’s allies — the Communist Party of India (CPI), the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM) and the VCK. These three parties have two MLAs each in the 234-member assembly. CPI and CPIM have indicated their support to Vijay, while VCK is likely to give its final decision today.
Amidst the rapidly changing political developments in Tamil Nadu, now all eyes are on the next step of the Governor and possible government formation.
