A man has appeared in court charged with murder after the death of a four-week-old baby boy in Salisbury.
Jamie Fulford, 26, of Tournament Road, appeared before Salisbury Magistrates Court today charged with murder and causing or allowing the harm or death of a child.
The charges relate to an incident in September 2022 when a four-week-old baby boy was admitted to Salisbury District Hospital with serious injuries.
The baby sadly died on September 9, police said.
Fulford has been remanded in custody and is due to appear next at Winchester Crown Court on May 12.
The baby's mother, Sophie Egerton, 22, also of Tournament Road, has been charged with causing or allowing the harm or death of a child.
Egerton appeared at Salisbury Magistrates Court today and was released on unconditional bail.
She is due to appear before Winchester Crown Court on June 5.
