The inauguration ceremony featured *Dr. Vivek Karol, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Kangra, who praised the hospital as a crucial enhancement to the region's healthcare services.

During the ribbon-cutting event, Dr. Vivek Karol highlighted the critical role of private healthcare initiatives that focus on patient care rather than profit. He remarked that the establishment of a multi-speciality hospital in Dharamshala would alleviate the burden on public healthcare facilities like Tanda Medical College. “The health department is enthusiastic about such strong infrastructure,” Dr. Karol remarked. “Motherland Hospital will be essential in connecting primary healthcare with advanced emergency services for the residents of this hill town.”

A notable moment during the ceremony was Dr. Karol’s commendation of Dharmendra Singh Kanwar, the visionary behind this initiative. The hospital was established following Kanwar’s personal tragedy, the loss of his wife due to inadequate medical facilities in the area at that time. Dr. Karol praised Kanwar’s selflessness, stating:
“Transforming personal sorrow into a public benefit requires tremendous bravery. Dharmendra Singh Kanwar’s commitment to ensuring that no other family endures a similar loss is truly admirable. This hospital exemplifies how a mission-driven approach can enhance community health.”
