Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) are clashing in the 49th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. In this match being played at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad, PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer has won the toss and decided to bowl first. Shreyas said during the toss that no grass was visible on the pitch. That means the dominance of the batsmen will be seen again.

Shreyas told that there are two changes in the team. Shashank Singh and Lockie Ferguson have returned. Nehal Vadhera and Xavier Bartlett had to go out. SRH captain Pat Cummins says that he is unable to read Uppal’s pitch. Every match held here is high-scoring. Cummins confirmed that Nitish Kumar Reddy is playing today’s match. He has replaced Aniket Verma.

Will SRH become table topper?

SRH had lost their previous match after 5 consecutive wins. If it wins today, it can become the table topper by defeating PBKS. On the other hand, PBKS is coming after losing two consecutive matches. The Shreyas Iyer brigade would like to get back on the winning track and strengthen their position at the top.
