FRI Vacancy 2026: The Forest Research Institute (FRI) has released the 2026 notification for the recruitment of various Group-C posts. Under this recruitment drive, a total of 91 appointments will be made. These include positions such as Library Information Assistant, Technical Assistant, Stenographer Grade-II, Technician, Store Keeper, Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Forest Guard, and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS).

Can 10th and ITI Pass-outs Apply?
Library Information Assistant: The candidate must hold a graduation degree in Library Science from a recognized university.
Technical Assistant (Field/Lab Research): The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in a Science stream. This must include subjects such as Botany, Zoology, Forestry, Environmental Science, Biotechnology, Genetics, Microbiology, Geology, or Biochemistry.
Stenographer Grade-II: The candidate must have passed the 12th grade. Additionally, a shorthand speed of 80 words per minute in either Hindi or English, along with knowledge of computers, is mandatory.
Technician (Field/Lab Research): The candidate must have passed the 12th grade with Science subjects from a recognized board, securing a minimum of 60% marks.
Store Keeper: For this position, it is mandatory for the candidate to have passed the 12th grade.
Technician (IT/Carpenter/Plumber/Electrician): The applicant must have passed the 10th grade and hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade or have completed a course from a recognized institution.
Lower Division Clerk (LDC): The candidate must have passed the 12th grade. Furthermore, a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on a computer is required. Forest Guard: Candidates must have passed the 12th grade with Science subjects. Additionally, physical fitness is mandatory, including the ability to walk a prescribed distance, and meeting minimum height and chest measurement standards.
Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): Candidates are required to have passed the 10th grade. Preference will be given to candidates possessing experience in the relevant field.
What is the Application Fee?
For this recruitment drive, candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay a total fee of ₹1,500, which comprises an application fee of ₹800 and a processing fee of ₹700. Conversely, for female candidates, as well as those belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Disabilities, only a processing fee of ₹700 has been prescribed, while their application fee has been waived.
