Ishan Kishan snatches Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s crown, big upset in Orange Cap race

New Delhi. The race for Orange Cap in IPL 2026 has now become very interesting. (Sunrisers Hyderabad) Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) explosive batsman Heinrich Klaasen, continuing his excellent form, has captured the number-1 position by scoring the most runs. By scoring 494 runs in 11 matches, he has left all the batsmen behind. His inning of 69 runs against Punjab Kings played an important role in taking him to the top.
Abhishek Sharma’s great form, still left behind
SRH’s young batsman Abhishek Sharma has consistently performed brilliantly this season. Against Punjab Kings, he played a brilliant inning of 35 runs in just 13 balls, which included four sixes. However, his 475 runs keep him at second position. He had been a contender for the Orange Cap for some time, but Klaasen’s explosive innings dashed his hopes.
KL Rahul slipped, change in top-3
Delhi Capitals captain and experienced batsman KL Rahul has lost one place this week. Now he has slipped to third place with 445 runs. Although his average is good, but due to not being able to play big innings continuously, he has fallen away from the top position.

Rajasthan Royals’ young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi has slipped to fifth position with 404 runs. Sanju Samson, Sai Sudarshan, Ryan Rickelton and Virat Kohli also remain in the top-10. Kohli is currently in ninth position and has a chance to move forward.
