Urvashi Rautela Says Nandamuri Balakrishna Was First To Wish Her On Valentine's Day, Calls Him 'Down To Earth'

Urvashi Rautela recently shared screen space with Nandamuri Balakrishna, a veteran of Telugu cinema and a politician, in Daaku Maharaaj. The actress, who never shies away from sharing her opinions, recently spoke about the veteran actor's behaviour on the set. Nandamuri Balakrishna often catches headlines for his outspoken behaviour. Speaking about her experience, Urvashi called it “really, really amazing.”

Speaking to Radio Nasha, Urvashi shared that at times one thing leads to another and said, “I don’t know... sometimes it’s like one thing leads to another thing, then third thing, fourth thing... it was like that.”

Talking about Balakrishna being aggressive at times during public meet-ups, leading to him throwing phones, the actress shared, “Yeah, many times I’ve seen... and it always used to be like... it used to be fun watching all this.”

The actress also shared that while the clips look aggressive, fans don’t take offence to it, and added, “Last year on Valentine’s Day, Balakrishna garu was the first person who wished me.”

“He is very childlike and he is very fun-loving... and obviously he is a massive, massive superstar... super energetic he is,” she said. While talking about his aggressive behaviour at times, the actress added, “It’s not like that every time he is in that zone. He is very down to earth and he loves talking to people... especially with kids.”

The actress was part of Nandamuri’s recent film Daaku Maharaaj, and her song Dabidi Dibidi from the movie caught every eyeball possible. Many called the steps vulgar and not really nice, but Urvashi often defended her song.

Earlier, while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter India, Urvashi had shared that the song “Dabidi Dibidi” was made for Nandamuri Balakrishna’s fans, and that every lyric was crafted according to their mindset.

Directed by K. S. Ravindra (also known as Bobby Kolli), Daaku Maharaaj hit theatres in January last year. The movie had a great box office run, earning over Rs 156 crore worldwide. The movie later premiered on Netflix and reached a wider audience.
