Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt is all set for the release of his upcoming directorial venture, *Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past*. This film serves as a sequel to the 2011 horror movie *Haunted 3D*. It is, once again, a horror film, featuring Mimoh Chakraborty and Chetna Pande in lead roles. The film's teaser was released recently, but faced criticism regarding its CGI. Now, director Vikram Bhatt has responded to these criticisms.
**A Need to Be More Educated About Cinema**
Speaking with Zoom, Vikram Bhatt addressed the criticism the film's teaser has been receiving. Responding to the trolls, he stated that we need to become more educated about cinema. "Suppose you watch *Star Wars* and start saying, 'This is CGI.' What else would *Star Wars* consist of?"
"Where am I supposed to bring a real ghost from? A ghost is going to look exactly like this, man! The funny thing is that, following the initial reaction regarding excessive VFX, the team actually shot on real locations. Some people are just foolish. These are real locations. So, the haters will hate, but those who like it will love it."
**Where to Find a Real Ghost?**
Vikram further added that ghosts do, in fact, exist, and he only used makeup to ensure that the apparition did not look like a human—something he considers unfortunate. "Whatever we have actually done [in reality], people assume, 'Oh, this must be something else entirely.' Now, tell me, what are we supposed to do? You people have already assumed that this is CGI. This merely demonstrates their lack of knowledge."
**Film to Release on June 12**
Directed by Vikram Bhatt, *Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past* is scheduled to hit theaters on June 12. The film is set to clash at the box office with Imtiaz Ali's romantic musical film, *Main Wapas Aaunga*. Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari Wagh, Vedang Raina, and Naseeruddin Shah will be seen in lead roles in this film by Imtiaz Ali.
