Madhyamgram. Police are interrogating three history-sheeters in the murder case of Chandranath Rath, PA of West Bengal BJP leader Subhendu Adhikari. At the same time, the killers of Shubhendu’s PA have still not been caught by the police. Chandranath Rath, 41, was shot dead just 200 meters away from his house in Madhyamgram on Wednesday night. Now many more important facts have also come to light in this matter. At the same time, Chandranath Rath’s mother has demanded hanging or life imprisonment for her son’s murderers.

Police suspect that Chandranath Rath and his driver were fired upon with a 9 mm Glock pistol made in Austria. The attackers fired 10 rounds. Chandranath Rath was hit by five bullets. Whereas, their driver was seriously injured by 3 bullets. The driver of Shubhendu’s PA has now been admitted to Apollo Hospital. Earlier in the investigation, it has come to light that Chandranath Rath’s car was stopped due to a car with fake number plate. The attackers were also on bikes. After the firing everyone ran away on bikes. At present it seems that Chandranath Rath was being monitored for many days. The weapon used in the murder shows that they are trend contract killers.

Chandranath Rath was 41 years old. He had also worked in the Indian Air Force.

Eyewitnesses have told the police that there was no number plate on the bike on which the attackers had come to kill Chandranath. Chandranath Rath had earlier worked in the Indian Air Force for 20 years. His family is an old acquaintance of Shubhendu Adhikari. It is being told that Chandranath Rath’s mother was also a member of a Gram Panchayat in Medinipur, West Bengal. Mamata Banerjee’s party TMC has demanded a CBI inquiry into the murder of Chandranath. At the same time, BJP worker Rohit Roy alias Chintu has also been shot in Basirhat over a dispute over hoisting the party flag. There were no major incidents of violence in West Bengal before the elections and during voting, but after the declaration of the election results, violence is taking place there.
