The Aadhaar App is witnessing tremendous adoption among the public; within just three months, it has been downloaded over 21 million (2.1 crore) times. This app has effectively brought Aadhaar services right to people's fingertips.

Tasks that previously required making repeated trips to an Aadhaar Center can now be easily accomplished from the comfort of one's home, thereby making people's lives significantly easier. With the help of this app, you can effortlessly perform tasks such as updating your Aadhaar mobile number and address without leaving your home.

The government states that the Aadhaar App is being utilized to avail of a wide range of services, including the hassle-free updating of mobile numbers and addresses. Users can perform these tasks anytime and from anywhere. To date, over 2.8 million (28 lakh) people have updated their mobile numbers using the new Aadhaar App. Similarly, approximately 600,000 people have used the app to update their addresses.

The new Aadhaar App has been designed to empower Aadhaar holders to carry, display, share, and verify their identity via their mobile devices.
