SECR has announced recruitment for 1644 posts, apply till June 4, good opportunity for ITI people.

South East Central Railway has announced recruitment for Trade Apprentice posts (SECR Recruitment 2026). The application process has started. Candidate Official Website You can apply from 5th May to 4th June 2026. Selected candidates will be appointed at DRM Office Raipur Division and Wagon Repair Workshop Raipur. It is advised to read the notification before filling the form. In which information from eligibility to selection process is available.

The number of vacant posts is 1644. There are 1363 vacancies in DRM Office Raipur Division and 281 vacancies in Wagon Repair Workshop Raipur. There will be recruitment for various trade apprentice posts including Turner, Fitter, Electrician, Stenographer, Machinist, Carpenter, Painter. No information regarding fees has been given in the notification. Applications will be accepted in online mode only.

Who can apply?

To apply, it is mandatory for candidates to have passed class 10th with minimum 50% marks from a recognized board. Apart from this, one should also have ITI certificate in trade from a recognized institute. The age limit is minimum 15 years and maximum 24 years. SC/ST will be given relaxation up to 5 years, OBC up to 3 years and Serviceman/PWD candidates will be given up to 10 years. Date of birth of General Category candidates should be between 5th May 2002 to 5th May 2011.

selection process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit list. Which will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in class 10th and ITI examination. Both the exams will get equal weightage. After this document verification will be done. During this period, candidates will have to be present with various necessary documents including medical certificate. No special examination or interview will be conducted. The duration of training will be one year. During this period, candidates will continue to receive this stipend.
