Royal fans have given a telling verdict about whether Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie should retain their titles following their parents' humiliation. Beatrice and Eugenie's parents, Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, saw their titles axed last year due to their links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

At the time, it was made clear that the decision on Andrew and Fergie's titles would have no impact on the royal sisters whatsoever. Beatrice and Eugenie have both held their princess titles since their births in 1988 and 1990, respectively, as they are male-line granddaughters of Queen Elizabeth II, who was the monarch at the time.

The Daily Express asked readers if the King should axe his nieces' titles and the response was quite telling.

A total of 2682 people were polled from 10am on Tuesday, May 5, to 10am on Thursday, May 6, and the majority responded negatively to the question.

Of the total, more than half (1,457) voted against stripping them of their titles, while 42% (1,147) voted in favour.

Just 78 readers voted "Don't know".

One of them wrote in the comment section: "No, it's not their fault. Sins of the Parents should not be reflected on the children."

Another one said: "They are the Queen's granddaughters and haven't done anything wrong."

A third one asked: "Why should the Princesses pay for their fathers' mistakes?"

But a fourth one blasted: "Take titles away asap."

Another one said: "Only working royals should hold royal titles."

It comes as Princess Eugenie announced her third pregnancy with Jack Brooksbank this week.

Buckingham Palace released a statement on Monday morning to share the joyous news and said the couple are "very pleased".

The new royal baby is due to arrive "in the summer". Eugenie's sons, Ernest and August, are said to be "very excited" for the new addition.

The Palace said that the King has been informed and he is "delighted" for his niece and her husband.

In a photograph shared by Eugenie, 36, Ernest, wearing a Chelsea football kit, and August, wearing a long-sleeved grey t-shirt, can be seen holding a picture of a baby scan.
