Saudi Arabia’s largest energy company Aramco is now going to take a huge leap in terms of technology. The company has decided to create a very advanced supercomputer system in collaboration with ‘solutions by stc’. What will be special in this new supercomputer project of Aramco?
The project will be the largest computing infrastructure ever built in Aramco’s history. The capacity of this system will be seven times more than the current system, due to which huge amounts of data can be processed very fast. Through this, there will be better analysis of pictures and data under the ground, which will increase the speed of finding new oil reserves and extracting oil from old wells.

This entire system will be ready and deployed within a year. The financial impact of this project will start being reflected in the balance sheet of ‘solutions by stc’ from the first quarter of 2027.
Aramco Executive Vice President Abdul Hamid A. Al-Dugaither said that this step will completely change the way hydrocarbon exploration and management is done. Meanwhile, Engineer Omar bin Abdullah Alnomani, CEO of solutions by stc, said that this collaboration is a big step towards empowering the energy sector through artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.
