The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, has approved financial proposals worth ₹38,555 crore aimed at infrastructure development, agricultural growth, and social welfare initiatives. Among the key decisions is the formation of a state-level trader welfare board designed to address concerns of the business community and improve coordination between traders and government agencies. The move is expected to establish a structured platform for resolving issues and supporting economic activity in the state.

In the agriculture sector, the cabinet approved ₹2,442.04 crore for the continuation of the pulses self-reliance mission over the next five years. The programme aligns with broader national efforts to boost production of pulse crops and enhance food security. It includes provisions for seed development, distribution, training, and post-harvest infrastructure. Officials stated that the initiative aims to increase cultivation area, improve productivity, and strengthen supply chains for farmers.

A significant portion of the approved funds has been allocated to infrastructure, with ₹32,405 crore earmarked for road construction, maintenance, and housing upkeep. The plan includes development and upgrading of rural roads, district routes, and bridge maintenance over the 2026–2031 period. Additional allocations were made for electronics manufacturing clusters, IT-related projects, and statewide digital connectivity systems to enhance governance and industrial growth. Social sector decisions include funding for anganwadi centre construction and continuation of the Mission Vatsalya programme. These measures collectively reflect a multi-sector development approach covering economic, technological, and welfare priorities in the state.
