Bradley Walsh faces a fresh set of challenges in Friday's episode of Bradley and Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad.

Bradley, 65, and his son Barney, 28, hit the road once again for the seventh series of Breaking Dad. In the latest run, the Chase legend and his Casualty actor son venture Down Under for an epic Australian adventure in the much-loved ITV programme.

Across the new six-part series, the father and son duo will discover the vast wilderness and coastal thrills of Australia and, true to form, Bradley will be getting anything but the peaceful break he's been longing for.

Barney has assembled a packed itinerary bursting with adrenaline-fuelled escapades, all meticulously designed to push his father to his absolute limits across the Australian outback and beyond.

In an exclusive early preview clip ahead of this Friday's episode, Bradley and Barney are seen departing the stunning Blue Mountains. A synopsis reveals: "Barney has an extreme challenge planned for his dad, as they must traverse a ravine on a rope!

"The boys then head into the countryside and make a stop in the land of sheep, where they learn the art of shearing.

"Their road trip then takes them to a tiny town where they join the local community who've organised a mighty challenge that involves pulling a gigantic truck."

In the preview clip, Bradley and Barney throw themselves into the truck-pulling competition, with Barney placed in the Grasshoppers team while dad Bradley finds himself assigned to the women's team. As the teams assemble, Barney kicks things off with a loud team chant before declaring: "As long as we beat him, I'll be happy!"

Meanwhile, as Bradley rallies his own team with a chant, he manages to injure his arm in the process. The presenter calls out: "Let's pull" as they thrust their arms skyward.

Yet Bradley is swift to cry out: "Hang on, I've hurt my arm there, I've hurt my arm there doing that!" prompting the show's narrator to quip: "You're supposed to be pulling a truck, Bradley, not a muscle."

Attention then turns to Bradley's team as the challenge unfolds, involving 25 metres, six people, two ropes and a nine-tonne truck.

Barney's team make an impressive start, posting a strong time that Bradley's team must better in order to claim victory. Whether they can pull it off remains to be seen...

Elsewhere in Friday's episode, Bradley pleads "I don't want to" as he comes face to face with his well-documented fear of heights on the show.

Breaking Dad first burst onto screens in 2019 and the series has gone on to earn widespread critical acclaim.

Bradley & Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad airs on Fridays on ITV and ITV X.
