A furious Atletico Madrid camp has reportedly launched a complaint with UEFA over fireworks being set off outside their hotel in London ahead of the high-stakes Champions League 2025-26 clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. The incident reportedly took place on Tuesday Morning as it further raises the stakes between the two sides after a 1-1 draw in the first leg.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Marca, the visiting team didn’t take much time to report the deplorable incident. Although fireworks were set off outside the team hotel, the fans or individuals who threw projectiles did not have any form of medium to approaching the team, who were sleeping when the incident happened. The first set of fireworks reportedly were set off at 1:30 am and loud noises triggered 20 minutes after that.

Nevertheless, the individuals setting off the fireworks are likely yet to be arrested.

Arsenal will also take confidence from their 4-0 victory over Atletico earlier in the season at the Emirates Stadium.
