Amidst IPL 2026, Delhi Capitals’ star batsman KL Rahul, while talking on JioStar’s show ‘Superstars’, spoke openly about the journey of his T20 career and told how difficult it was for him to get out of the image of only a red-ball batsman. During this, Rahul said that, ten years ago, I would have done anything to be a part of the T20 team. Taking his point forward, he said that I was never rated as a T20 player nor was I seen as a good white-ball player. I was seen as a Test player.

Taking his point further, Rahul said that it is a great thing for me to come out of the image of just a red-ball batsman and improve my white-ball game and reach this position. During this time I also made many mistakes, I could have done many things better. Despite ups and downs in his career, he always tried to give his best. He also said that now I have learned to maintain balance in difficult times.

Changes brought about by becoming a father

While talking on the show, 34-year-old KL Rahul said that after becoming a father, there has been a change in his playing style and he has stopped thinking too much. He doesn’t think much about sports now. He further said that when I am on the field for four-five hours, I am completely focused on my game, enjoy the game and try to give my best.
