Vat Savitri Vrat: In Hindu religion, Vat Savitri fast is considered the basis of long life of husband and happy married life. This festival will be celebrated on 16 May. This fast observed on the day of Jyeshtha Amavasya is no less than a penance for married women. Pleased with her unwavering devotion and logic, Yamraj asked her to ask for a boon, through which Savitri cleverly regained her husband's life. Savitri found her husband alive again under the banyan tree, since then the tradition of worshiping this tree has been going on.
