The war started again in the Middle East! On Monday, Iran launched a drone strike targeting oil storage facilities in the United Arab Emirates. Three Indian nationals were injured. New Delhi strongly condemned this incident.
The defense ministry of Amirshahi claimed that Iran attacked with 15 missiles and 4 drones that day. The attack was aimed at the main oil warehouse in the capital Fujairah. However, the extent of damage to the oil warehouse in the incident is not yet known. Although three Indian nationals were injured in this attack. The attack on the Fujairah oil depot is not the first. Earlier, Tehran attacked here on March 14. As a result of which a fire broke out in Fujairah port. As a result, the port is temporarily closed. After that incident, Tehran again targeted the Fujairah oil depot with a drone attack.
India strongly condemned this attack by Iran. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal is releasing a statement on his X handle. There he wrote, ‘Three Indians were injured in the attack in Fujairah. This is reprehensible. Attacks on settlements and innocent civilians should stop immediately.’ He called for peace in the Middle East through negotiations and diplomacy. However, Tehran did not directly dismiss the attack. On Tuesday morning, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote on his X handle, ‘America or Amirshahi should be careful about getting involved in any smuggling again.
