Gavaskar was extremely angry with Bumrah for overstepping at such a crucial moment and said that it was ‘unacceptable’ for a player of his caliber to bowl a no-ball at that time. Sunil Gavaskar said, “This is not acceptable. You are a professional cricketer. Wide balls are understandable, but no-balls are not.”

In this match, Puran came to bat at number 3, which has been discussed throughout the season. Till now, this season had not been anything special for him but by playing an inning of 63 runs in just 21 balls against Mumbai, he showed how much number-3 suits him. Apart from this, Mitchell Marsh played an inning of 44 runs and Himmat Singh played an inning of 40 runs.
