The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, recently celebrated the impressive performance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the recent assembly elections, as trends indicated victories for the party in West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry. Speaking at the state BJP headquarters, Dhami praised the party's success across various states, labeling the moment as historic. He expressed pride, stating, 'Today is a very historic day. We have formed the government in Assam for the third consecutive time. After the country's independence, there has been a phase in Bengal where everything has turned saffron. This signifies that from the Gangotri of our state, Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, to Gangasagar, everything has turned saffron.'
Highlighting Party Dominance
Emphasizing the party's growing influence in other regions, he noted, 'An NDA government is also being formed in Puducherry. The BJP-NDA alliance has performed exceptionally well in Tamil Nadu.'
Acknowledging Leadership and Support
Dhami attributed these successes to the leadership of the BJP and the relentless efforts of its dedicated workers nationwide. He specifically commended the state BJP president, Mahendra Bhatt, and other prominent leaders, stating, 'Under Mahendra Bhatt's leadership, we have achieved numerous victories, whether in Lok Sabha elections, assembly by-elections, municipal elections, or panchayat elections.' He also recognized the continuous support and leadership of senior BJP leaders, including former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal.
Unity and Hard Work
Referring to the party's success in West Bengal, where the BJP holds a strong position, Dhami emphasized the importance of unity and hard work. He praised party workers for facing challenges and organizing rallies and padyatras in difficult circumstances. 'Our workers from Uttarakhand played a crucial role in establishing arrangements there, including Mulayam Singh Rawat, who assisted despite obstacles set by the local government,' he added. Paying tribute to all BJP workers involved in the election campaign, Dhami stated, 'Every worker who came from across the country made a significant contribution. I warmly welcome all those workers who helped us achieve this historic victory today.'
