New Delhi: A massive fire broke out in 6 flats in Delhi’s Vivek Vihar late night. 9 people have died and many are injured in this incident. The incident has created a stir in the area.
What is the whole matter?
A sudden fire broke out in 6 flats in Delhi’s Vivek Vihar late night. The fire department received information about the fire at 3:47 in the morning, after which fire engines were dispatched. After the fire, many people got trapped on the spot, rescue teams gathered to rescue them. According to police and fire brigade, the fire has been completely controlled. Search operation is going on. 8 families lived in the building.
Police statement came out
Police said that on May 3, at around 3:48 am, a fire was reported at Vivek Vihar Police Station. As soon as the information was received, the policemen, along with the SHO and ACP of Vivek Vihar immediately reached the spot. Fire brigade and crime team also reached premises B-13 located in Vivek Vihar Phase-I.
Police said that the flats located on the second, third and fourth floors of the complex were on fire. During the rescue and fire extinguishing operation, 10-15 people were rescued from the building, of whom two suffered minor injuries and were admitted to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital for treatment. 12 fire engines along with DDMA staff, traffic officials and local police were present at the spot. Further investigation and action is being taken.
