Delhi: Pakistani star player Babar Azam was heavily trolled for not including Indian players in his ODI World XI. He was told to select two players each from top teams while making his team, but surprisingly he did not include any Indian player. Even players like Virat Kohli, who holds almost every major record in ODI cricket, were not given a place in the team.
Babar chose the team, did not give place to Kohli
Babar selected Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh from Australia as openers. Aiden Markram and Kagiso Rabada from South Africa were given place in the team. Rachin Ravindra and Mitchell Santner were selected from New Zealand, while Harry Brook and Joffra Archer joined the team from England. Babar selected Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan from Pakistan, while Rashid Khan from Afghanistan was the only player to make a place in this team.
Babar did not give place to Kohli in his team. Kohli has the record of most centuries in ODI. Apart from this, there are many records in Kohli’s name. The decision of not including Kohli in the team proved costly for Babar. Fans trolled him fiercely on social media.
