Priyansh Arya and Preity Zinta helped a fan who was injured during the Indian Premier League 2026 clash between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals at Mullanpur. The fan was struck on his face by a massive six from Arya while attending the match.

 

It happened during the clash on Tuesday that the ball hit the elderly fan Krishanchand on his face causing a bleeding injury. The people in the stands came forward and helped him and he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was treated and was discharged post his medical condition was reported to be stable.

 

Video Call After the Incident

 

After learning of the incident Priyansh Arya and Preity Zinta went on to have a video call with the elderly fan where they inquired about his health and progress. The fan who was seen sporting a bandage on his face throughout the video call spoke about his condition and made sure they were well aware he was okay.

 

"I was very worried when I saw the video," Arya was quoted as saying. He said, "Aapki duaon se bach gaya hu ji" when asked how he was doing. He went on to extend an invitation to the fan for the upcoming Punjab Kings game at Dharamshala or meet personally at Chandigarh.

Light Moment and Warm Gesture

 

Preity Zinta also interacted with the fan over the phone and spoke her mind. She was like, “Mujhe bhi thodi tension ho rahi thi.” Later, she added in a light tone, “Iss baar aapko helmet pehnayenge, agar koi ball aaye toh aap safe and secure rahe.”

 

The fan seemed to enjoy and he told her, 'The ball hit my face just above my eye but it is all good, did not affect my vision.' He also thanked the two players for their concern.
