R Ashwin On Hardik Pandya: Hardik Pandya's performance in IPL 2026 has not been as per expectations. In 7 matches he has scored only 128 runs and taken only 4 wickets. R Ashwin found Hardik Pandya's weakness
Hardik Pandya is known for his aggressive batting, but his form remains a matter of concern this season. In such a situation, Ashwin's suggestion can prove useful for him. According to Ashwin, Pandya's bat is his biggest limitation this season. Actually, Ashwin has advised Pandya to reduce the weight of the bat. Ashwin said on his YouTube, 'I have played with Hardik Pandya and I also have one of his bats. Hardik plays with a very heavy bat. Hands become a little slow with increasing age. I think Hardik is being very late on hard length balls because he uses a heavy bat.
Ashwin believes that now the time has come that Pandya should reduce the weight of his bat. He said, 'His bat swing is very special, but in the last 3-4 matches I have seen that his bat is swinging very late. Even against Shashank Singh, his bat came late on hard length, which was shocking. Maybe I am wrong, but they should definitely consider it. According to Ashwin, if Pandya reduces the weight of the bat, he can get better timing on hard length balls and there can be improvement in his batting.

This poor performance of Hardik Pandya has affected the team as well. Mumbai team has played 8 matches and has only 2 wins in its account. Apart from this, he has faced defeat in 6 matches.
